beauty_glow_2009_calendar-p158460492450256774xffk_325Yes, I am a little late to this post. Sue me. I have been otherwise occupied. But this post has been writing itself in my head for a few weeks. Does that count? Hope so. Anyway, here goes:

I’ll try this as a chronological highlight reel. Yes, this will bore you. Well, it might make you laugh too. You can leave a comment and let me know. OK?

JANUARY

I rang in 2009 with my extended family on a beautiful island in the Caribbean. Not a shitty way to start the year. For the record, I was asleep at 9:00 on New Year’s Eve ‘08. January was also a marathon of writing applications for pre-school applications for my daughter. That’s right. PRE-SCHOOL. That sentence alone is ridiculous. But the concomitant parental anxiety carried me into 2009.

January also brought the anniversary of my father’s passing in 2002. Always a moment of reflection, followed by immense sadness. My January ended better, however, with the inauguration of our new President. wOOt! Good times. I did not attend the inauguration; my husband did. I still haven’t forgiven him. GRRRRRRR.

(author’s note: I have decided to make this a daily post – going month by month. Again, this may bore you incessantly. If so, grab a glass of wine and relax. Or go watch Jersey Shore. Either way, hope you enjoy.)

I might have also ranted about this here:
